The first step to becoming a traveler with Millenia Medical is to fill out an application. This can be done online, by fax(888.686.7880), by mail or over the phone (888.686.6877). Once your application is received, our expert recruiters will evaluate your qualifications and contact you by phone to match you with assignments that call for your particular skills and experience.

You must hold a current unrestricted license from a state in the US or its territories. Millenia Medical requires a minimum of 12 consecutive months experience in your specialty.

Yes. Millenia Medical does not restrict your flexibility or options. It is in your best interest to review several agencies to determine which makes the best fit. Your application is simply used as a qualification for you to travel. You can choose to travel now or in the future. Once your application is processed there will be an assignment waiting for you whenever you decide to travel.

No, never. Our hospital clients pay for our services.

 

 

Pay rates vary depending on the facility and location, as well as your specialty. We always negotiate top rates for our travelers and, as a result, our pay rates are extremely competitive, typically ranging from $26 to $40 per hour. In addition, many hospitals offer generous completion and sign-on bonuses, ranging from $500 to $6,000. For specific pay rate information, please contact your recruiter.

As a Millenia Medical traveler, you will be paid directly from our payroll. We provide payment by direct deposit into your bank account or by overnight mail every two weeks. We also offer a Global Cash Card which is electronically funded and can be used like any atm card. If you choose direct deposit, your payroll stub will be mailed to you for your records.

Yes. We will reward you by sending you a $500 check as soon as your friend or colleague completes his or her first 13-week assignment.

Yes. Many of our assignments offer cash bonuses ranging from $500 to $2,500. These incentives, usually offered as completion bonuses, are paid at the end of your assignment. Ask your recruiter for more information.

 

 

Yes. Millenia Medical offers a wide variety of benefits including day one coverage on health and dental insurance.

As a Millenia Medical traveler, you can start saving for retirement as soon as you begin your first assignment. You can contribute 50 percent of your salary or $13,000 annually, whichever is less. If you are age 50 or older, you may contribute $16,000 a year. After 1,000 hours of continuous service, Millenia Medical will match 50 cents for each dollar you defer up to 6 percent.

As soon as you complete an application, you'll instantly be able to enjoy the benefits of Travel advantage program, which offers discounts on hotels, cellular phone service, computer equipment, health club membership and more. For our loyal travelers, we offer the Gold Traveler club. This program allows you to earn points and redeem them for cash, gift certificates from national retailers and fabulous vacation packages.

 

 

Typically, assignments range from 8 to 13 weeks. However, we can often be flexible, offering shorter or longer assignments customized to your needs. And many times, you can extend an assignment you particularly enjoy.

All of our assignments are for full time 36- or 40-hour work weeks. If you would like more hours, however, many assignments also offer the opportunity to work overtime.

We offer assignments in all 50 states, across all disciplines and specialties. Assignments range from major cities to rural communities. We also offer assignments in government facilities including VAMC and clinics, U.S. Military bases located both here and abroad. Tell us where you want to go, and we'll get you there.

Once we have reviewed your application and skills checklist, you and your recruiter will discuss your assignment expectations, career goals and your desired destination in order to find the best assignment for you. You will then be presented with available assignments, including details on the pay rate, facility, unit, shifts, location and bonuses. From that list, you will interview with the facilities of your choice. All interviews are done over the phone. After your interview, you and your recruiter will decide which assignment to take.

Some travelers interview the day they submit their application, starting their first assignment within a week, while others plan their assignments several months down the road. How quickly you can start traveling depends on your schedule. Having your documentation in order and license current for the state where you will be practicing is a big advantage. We will work with you to help you get all the paperwork and credential requirements organized in time for your assignment start date.

 

 

It's best to drive or have your vehicle to your assignment, since you'll want to explore your new surroundings and go sightseeing on your days off. We will always ensure that you have maps and detailed instructions on how to get to your destination and your new workplace.

Yes. We provide our travelers with a generous travel reimbursement ranging from $225 to $300 each way. Best of all, it's tax-free.

Unlike other travel companies that charge you for private housing, Millenia Medical travelers are housed in free private accommodations. Our housing department works with only the most reputable apartment communities to provide you with comfortable and attractive housing conveniently located near your assignment. Your accommodation will be in move-in condition upon your arrival, complete with furniture. Many of our properties even feature luxurious amenities, including pools, fitness centers and tennis courts.

Yes. If you provide your own housing accommodations for your assignment, Millenia Medical will provide you with a monthly housing subsidy. Depending on your situation it could be tax free. The housing subsidy varies depending on the assignment and the location. To find out specific subsidy amounts, please contact your recruiter.

Yes. Most of our housing accommodations allow travelers to keep pets. You likely will have to pay a pet deposit. The pet deposit amount varies from place to place. This will be returned upon completion of your assignment if the accommodations are clean and well maintained.
